Are all “waterfall” projects successful?  No.  In fact, research shows only 11% are on time and on budget.

Are all “agile” projects successful?  No.  In fact, research shows only 49% are on time and on budget.

Key Take Away Here Is…

  • Going Agile can be done just as poorly as Going Traditional.
  • Lack of expertise and experience has given us numerous dysfunctional implementations, horrendous processes, and demoralized teams for BOTH Traditional and Agile

People by nature avoid things they don’t understand (they also seek to defeat things that don’t fit their notion of reality), yet all the data show that Agile is 3x more successful than Traditional approaches despite our human nature…

It is hard to accept that we have resisted change for ~100 years!
